Acceptable Use Policy
Operix runs many businesses on one shared system, and their customers trust the storefronts and payments it powers. This policy sets out what you may not use Operix for. It expands section 3 of our Terms of Service and forms part of them.
1. Who this applies to
It applies to the business that owns a Operix workspace and to everyone that business invites in — staff, suppliers and anyone else given an account. The workspace owner is responsible for how the people they invite use it.
2. What you may sell and record
Do not use Operix, including your storefront, to sell, advertise or keep records for:
- goods or services that are illegal where you sell them or where your customer is;
- counterfeit goods, or goods that infringe someone else's trademark or copyright;
- controlled drugs, or medicines and other regulated products you are not licensed to sell;
- weapons, ammunition or explosives, where the law does not allow you to sell them;
- stolen goods, or the proceeds of crime.
3. Honest dealing with your customers and staff
- Do not use Operix to defraud your customers or staff — for example by taking payment for goods you do not intend to supply, misstating prices, or issuing false receipts or invoices.
- Do not use the payment features to move money that is not payment for a real sale, to disguise where money came from, or to get around a payment provider's rules.
- Do not tamper with sales, stock or audit records to hide what happened, and do not try to alter or delete the activity records Operix keeps.
- Do not present your storefront as belonging to another business or person.
4. Messages and personal data
- Do not use Operix's email, SMS or other messages to send spam, or marketing to people who have not agreed to receive it.
- Collect and use your customers' personal data lawfully. You decide what you collect and why, and you are responsible for it — see our Data Processing statement.
- Do not upload personal data you have no right to hold, and do not use customer data from your workspace for harassment, discrimination or anything your customers would not reasonably expect.
5. Protecting the service
- Do not attempt to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to Operix, to another business's workspace or data, or to the accounts of other users.
- Do not probe or scan for weaknesses without our written permission. If you find one, tell us — see our Security page.
- No automated abuse: do not use bots or scripts to create accounts or workspaces, flood forms, or get around rate limits, security challenges or plan limits.
- Do not upload malware or anything designed to harm the service or the people using it.
- Use API keys only for your own business, keep them private, and do not share sign-in details between people — invite each person with their own account instead.
6. Reselling access
Your subscription is for your own business. Do not resell, rent or sublicense access to Operix, or run other businesses inside your workspace, without a written agreement with Spacehub Technologies. Referring businesses through our partner programme is covered by the partner guide and terms, not by this policy.
7. What we may do
If we believe this policy has been broken, we may:
- contact the workspace owner and ask for it to stop;
- remove or hide the content or storefront listing concerned;
- suspend access for serious or repeated breaches, giving you notice and a chance to export your data wherever reasonably possible, as section 6 of our Terms of Service says;
- report the matter to the payment provider, a regulator or the police where the law requires or allows it.
Where there is an urgent risk to other businesses, their customers or the service itself, we may need to act first and give notice straight afterwards.
8. Reporting a problem
If you think a business on Operix is breaking this policy, or you want to ask whether something is allowed, email partnerships@mail.spacehubtech.cloud.
